Orofino Matron Is Dead At 81

      OROFINO - Mrs. Rose Mary Hardwick, 81, a resident of Orofino five years, died Tuesday morning at 5:30 at the home of her niece, Mrs. Robert Matson.

      Mrs. Hardwick moved here from Inglewood, Calif., to make her home with her niece. She was the widow of Robert B. Hardwick, who for a number of years built backgrounds at Inglewood for movies. He died April 26, 1952, at Inglewood.

      Mrs. Hardwick was born Jan. 28, 1880, at Hamburg, Germany. When she was 5, she moved to Chicago with her parents. She was married to Mr. Hardwick at New Orleans Jan. 7, 1902. They had no children.

      Mrs. Hardwick was a member of the Eastern Star.

      The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 at Gilbert’s Chapel here, with Miss Edna Anderson and Miss Bonnie Robinson conducting the service. The body will be sent to Inglewood.
